Earth art is art that is created only using things from the environment. Sadly I didn't have anyone around me to take pictures of me doing my work. I developed art making skills in my Earth art challenge. I kind of gain skills with familiar materials, I had to find a way for the leaves not to fly away, for example, since I could feel the wind, I tried not to do a lot when there were strong winds. I discovered that this challenge wasn't something I was strongly talented, maybe because I picked a windy day but other than that I was fine. I solved problems in my work. I tried not to use anything that wasn't outside, so with the leaves I ripped then even though I was about to use scissors, but I didn't. I learn that it wasn't that easy to try and get inspiration because I like to do something different. I was engaged into my artwork. While doing this I listen to music to get me into the mood and plus it was quiet in my neighborhood. I was about to give up because since it was a windy day, the leaves were kind of flying everywhere but I didn't, I persist. I continue with my work because with my music and seeing different things around me inspire me into doing more and spending more time into my work. I explore with different things, for example the leaves coming out the outer rocks, that was something I added last minute because I didn't want the rocks to look naked in a way. I looked through the different colors of green one of my tree had and decided what greens I wanted to use.
My abstract inspiration is colors, textures and positive emotions. We enjoy putting as much textures and colors and we kind of just flow with the boat, we forgot about the outside world and created something with many colors and textures. I observed the different colors and textures we were able to use and how we were going to paint the abstract without trying to be perfect. Close observation was important for the success of our creative expression because we want people to look at our work and be like "wow" or look interested by how many different colors we used into one painting. Like now how I'm looking at it, it looks like a whale or the goldfish from the goldfish commercial, it just depends how you look at, you will see different things, which is why I called this artwork Many Tales.
